
Dr. Jack Levison
Jack is W. J. A. Power Chair of Old Testament Interpretation and Biblical Hebrew at Perkins, SMU. A graduate of Wheaton College, Cambridge University, and Duke University, Jack has been a research fellow at St. Andrews University in Scotland, Eberhard-Karls Universität in Tübingen, Ludwig-Maximilians Universität in Munich, and Oxford Brookes University. His essays have appeared in huffpost.com, parade.com, relevant.com, and beliefnet.com, and his recent book, A Bountiful God: The Spirit According to the Old Testament, was a 2021 Award of Merit winner in Christianity Today.
Priscilla and Jack have lived in St. Andrews, Scotland, where Jack was a Rotary Scholar, and Priscilla earned her doctorate in practical theology. They love the landscape, people, and mystery of Scotland. Priscilla and Jack recently became Faculty-in-Residence at Southern Methodist University, so they live on campus with nearly 200 undergraduates.
