Day 1 January 20 – Depart the USA

Day 3 January 22 – Galilee

Explore the Church of the Loaves and Fish at Tabgha, the traditional site of the feeding of the 5,000 (Luke 9:10). Visit Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee, and visit the synagogue built on the site where Jesus taught (Matt. 4:13, 23). Cross the waters of the Sea of Galilee on a very special boat ride, complete with an onboard worship service. In Magdala, once home to Mary Magdalene, visit a recently discovered first-century synagogue. Finish your day remembering your baptism at the Yardenit Baptismal site.

Day 4 January 23 – Bethlehem

In Bethlehem, gaze out over Shepherds’ Field and visit the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplace (Matt. 1:18-25). Visit the Church of the Nativity, where the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplace resides in the world’s oldest functioning church (Matt. 1:18-25). Conclude your day by visiting the Walled Off Hotel, a boutique hotel designed by Banksy that explains Palestinian history.

Day 5 January 24 – Jerusalem

Begin your day with a group picture taken from the Mount of Olives, where Jesus ascended into heaven (Acts 1:9-12). Take your time walking down the Palm Sunday Road (optional) to pray in the Garden of Gethsemane and envision the scenes of the night before Jesus’ crucifixion (Matthew 26:36 - 44). Continue to Mount Zion to visit the House of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Jesus was questioned the night of His betrayal (Matthew 26:57). Meditate on the events of the Last Supper as you visit the traditional location of the Upper Room (Mark 14:12-26).

Day 6 January 25 – Jerusalem

Visit Yad Vashem, Israel’s Holocaust Memorial, with its poignant exhibits honoring the lives lost during the Holocaust. Explore the Israel Museum and its First Century Model of the City of Jerusalem. Another highlight is the museum’s Shrine of the Book exhibit showcasing the Dead Sea Scroll book of Isaiah. Enjoy free time for the rest of your afternoon.

Day 7 January 26 – Jerusalem

Explore ancient Jerusalem at the Teaching Steps and the Western Wall. View the Pool of Bethesda, where Jesus performed the Sabbath miracle (John 5:1-18). Sing a hymn in the Church of St. Anne and experience its rich acoustics. At the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, take time to reflect on His sacrificial love. Visit the Garden Tomb for a time of reflection and communion.

Day 8 January 27 – Return Home

Arrive home with a new understanding of the Bible, the land and the life of Jesus!
