Depart Home

Day 2 September 16 - Arrive in Athens

Arrive in Athens and enjoy a driving tour, view the House of Parliament, the Presidential Palace, and the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier. Check in to your hotel this afternoon.

Day 3 September 17 - Athens & Embarkation

Check out of your hotel and explore Athens today. Discover the rich architectural splendor of the ancient city of Athens as you explore the world-renowned Acropolis, the Propylaea, the Parthenon, and the Erechtheum. Stand on Mars Hill as the Apostle Paul did when he proclaimed, “I found an altar with this inscription, TO THE UNKNOWN GOD. Whom, therefore, ye ignorantly worship, him declare I unto you”. Next, you will journey to Piraeus to embark on the Norwegian Jade.

Day 4 September 18 - Ephesus & Patmos

Ephesus is one of the Seven Churches of Revelation and was once a bustling port town with wide, colonnade-bordered streets and a population of 250,000. Spectacular excavations have revealed much of the glory of ancient Ephesus, including the huge agora and library, but much has been lost. The ancient world once declared the Temple of Artemis to be one of the Seven Wonders of the World but today, only a single column remains to mark its site. Return to the ship for lunch and sail towards Patmos. This evening, you will visit the Monastery of St. John, high on the mountain overlooking the entire island. Walk down to the Grotto of the Apocalypse and the caves, where it is believed that the exiled Apostle John lived and was inspired by God to write the Book of Revelation as well as other letters to the early church.

Day 5 September 19 - Day at Sea

Enjoy the Norwegian Jade.

Day 6 September 20 - Jerusalem

Journey to Jerusalem to see Caiaphas’ House, where Jesus was tried before the Sanhedrin. Stand upon the Mount of Olives and view the city as Jesus did. See the ancient olive trees of the Garden of Gethsemane. Enjoy lunch at the Olive Tree Hotel. Wander the Old City to view the Pool of Bethesda and walk along the Via Dolorosa. Step inside the Church of the Holy Sepluchre, built over the sites of the crucifixion and the resurrection. Celebrate Communion at the Garden Tomb before returning to the ship.

Day 7 September 21 - Sea of Galilee

Venture inland to the Sea of Galilee. Take a boat out onto the sea and fellowship together during an onboard worship service. Stand on the Mount of Beatitudes, where Jesus preached (Matthew 5). At Tabgha, the traditional location of the feeding of 5,000, you will visit the Church of the Loaves and Fish (Luke 9). On the shores of the Sea of Galilee is the Chapel of the Primacy of St. Peter, where three times Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ (John 21). Enjoy a traditional St. Peter’s fish lunch. From there, travel to Capernaum where Jesus called Peter, Andrew, James, John (Matt. 4), and later Matthew to be disciples. End your day with a baptismal service at the Jordan River.

Day 8 September 22 - Limassol

Go deep into Cyprus’ history as you explore the island today. This beautiful port town is known for its seafood, pottery, leather goods, and traditional lace works. Wander the streets and enjoy the shops on your way to the Kolossi Castle built by the Order of St. John in 1210 in the city center of Limassol. Take a trip to Paphos from Limassol to explore ancient ruins, archaeological sites, and the goddess of love’s mythical birthplace. Travel past the Temple of Apollo on the way to this UNESCO-recognized city and discover elaborate tombs in a 3rd-century necropolis.

Shore excursions today will be booked directly through Norwegian Cruise Line

Day 9 September 23 - Santorini

Dock in Santorini today, one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands where picturesque, whitewashed villages topped with brilliant blue domes stand in stark contrast to the sheer drop cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. The island itself perches on the edges of a volcano whose eruption 3,500 years ago is thought to have led to the collapse of the Minoan civilization. Explore the island on your own or join one of the optional excursions available for purchase onboard.

Shore excursions today will be booked directly through Norwegian Cruise Line

Day 10 September 24 - Corinth & Cenchrae

Disembark the Norwegian Jade this morning and travel to the city of Corinth, where the Apostle Paul met fellow tentmakers Aquila and Priscilla and received a vision from the Lord saying, “I am with thee, and no man shall set on thee to hurt thee: for I have much people in this city.” As Paul spoke, Crispus (chief ruler of the synagogue) and many others believed and were baptized, establishing the church at Corinth to whom Paul later wrote his two epistles. Discover the Archaeological Museum, marketplace, and temples. As you walk among the ruins, stand on the Bema, where the Apostle Paul stood before Gallio to face charges brought against him by the Jews. Stop briefly at the port town of Cenchreae from which Paul later departed for Syria (Acts 18: 12 -18). Finish your journey today by checking in to your hotel near the Athens airport.

Day 11 September 25 - Return Home

Return home with a new understanding of the Apostle Paul's life and ministry, the impact of the Apostle John and his revelations, and Jesus' sacrifice.
