Daily Itinerary
Day 1 October 25 - Depart the USA
Depart the USA.
Day 2 October 26 - Arrive in Thessaloniki
Arrive at the Thessaloniki airport this afternoon. Transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 3 October 27 - Philippi & Neapoli (reference Acts 16)
We begin to retrace Paul’s steps in his unexpected journey. As Luke records in Acts 16, Paul and his disciples, Silas and Timothy, landed and made their way from Neapolis to Philippi. Today, we’ll discover how, during Paul’s pilgrimage, from baptism to imprisonment, he artfully converted the beliefs of many along the way. We will also share the story of Paul’s release after a false charge. We will return to our hotel in Thessaloniki for dinner.
Day 4 October 28 - Thessaloniki & Veria (reference Acts 17)
Discover Thessaloniki, where Paul, Silas, Timothy, and Luke enjoyed several weeks preaching in a synagogue and
converting many. Follow Paul and others as they fled to Veria (Berea). We will see the pattern of the people’s belief
in Paul’s teaching but the civic leaders’ dissension because of the influence of Paul’s teaching on their local economy. We will return to our hotel in Thessaloniki for dinner and a wonderful evening.
Day 5 October 29 - Greece Countryside (reference Acts 17)
Today, we will travel a few hours south to Athens. When Paul made this journey, it took him weeks to travel on foot
and by coastal boat. Along the way we will discuss many sites rich with both historical and biblical trivia. We will check into our hotel in Athens for dinner, and this will be our base for the next three nights.
Day 6 October 30 - Athens Touring (reference Acts 17)
Enjoy the rich architectural splendor of the ancient city of Athens as our guide introduces us to many sites, including
the world-renowned Acropolis and Parthenon. We will stand on Mars Hill where Paul challenged the aristocrats in Athens. We will remain in Athens for dinner and overnight.
Day 7 October 31 - Corinth & Cenchreae (reference Acts 18)
Today, we journey to the city of Corinth where Paul met Aquila and Priscilla and received a vision from the Lord. Corinth is very important to Paul. It’s THE transformational city for him. It was there that Paul truly knew he was a messenger of God. We will return to Athens for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 November 1 - Embark from Piraeus / Mykonos (reference Acts 18)
Today, we will board our ship and sail the blue waters of the Aegean Sea. We will be at sea today as we journey to
the Greek island of Mykonos. While on board, there will be a study of Ephesus and Patmos. We will also study the
post-Jerusalem ministries of Peter, John, and Mary. In the evening, we will arrive at Mykonos where you may explore on your own.
*Evening worship service
Day 9 November 2 - Ephesus & Patmos (reference Acts 19, John & Peter’s letters)
This morning, we arrive in Kusadasi, TÜrkiye, and journey to Ephesus where Paul spent three years of his ministry.
Peter, John, and Mary were already living there. Because of his love for this city, Paul left important disciples, Aquila and Priscilla, to remain until his return. Later in the day, we will journey to Patmos where we will see the world from
John’s point of view. Did Patmos inspire John’s writing? Or was it a facility for his inspired writing? We will return to
the ship for dinner.
Day 10 November 3 - Santorini (reference Acts 16-19)
Today, we cross the Aegean Sea, heading back toward Athens, with a stop at Santorini. While on board, we will
discuss the people surrounding Paul during his second mission trip, including Timothy, Silas, Titus, Luke, Priscilla, and Aquila. We will return to the ship for dinner.
Day 11 November 4 - Disembark in Piraeus & Athens
We arrive back in Athens! In the morning, we will organize touring, and then we will enjoy a free afternoon before
our celebration dinner. We will spend the entire day and evening in Athens.
Day 12 November 5 - Return Home
