Daily Itinerary

Day 1 Day 1 – Sunday, March 17

Depart from New York/Newark to Tel Aviv (Overnight flight).

Day 2 Day 2 – Monday, March 18

Arrive at the Tel Aviv airport. Meet our guide, Dudi, and bus driver, Hillel. Transfer to the Olive Tree Hotel in Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight.

Day 3 Day 3 – Tuesday, March 19

Visit the Mount of Olives (Ascension of Christ and overlook of Jerusalem). Walk Down the Mount of Olives (reflection on the Triumphal Entry of Jesus). See the Jewish Christian Ossuaries, Dominus Flevit (where Jesus wept over Jerusalem), the Garden of Gethsemane, the Upper Room, the Cave of First-Century Believers on Mount Zion, the House of Caiaphas. Dinner and overnight at the Olive Tree Hotel.

Day 4 Day 4 – Wednesday, March 20

Today, see the Temple Mount (conditions permitting), Pool of Bethesda, Church of Flagellation, and walk the Via Dolorosa. View the Holy Sepulchre, Jerusalem’s Old City, Western Wall, Southern Steps, and the Fallen Stones of Jerusalem. Dinner and overnight at the Olive Tree Hotel.

Day 5 Day 5 – Thursday, March 21

Visit the Garden Tomb (reflection on the Resurrection of Christ) and Bethlehem (Reflection on the Birth of Christ). Dinner and overnight at the Olive Tree Hotel.

Day 6 Day 6 – Friday, March 22

Leave Jerusalem and drive to Qumran (reflection on the Dead Sea Scrolls), Masada, The Dead Sea, The Jordan Valley, and Beth Shean (Scythopolis). Arrive at Galilee Hotel in Galilee and have dinner.

Day 7 Day 7 – Saturday, March 23

Travel to Chorazin, Bethsaida (reflection on the Feeding of the 5,000) and Kursi (reflection on Jesus and the maniac of Gadara). Have a fish lunch in Ein Gev. Visit Gamla (Hometown of the Zealots) and study the graves of the Giants (Dolmens). Dinner and overnight in Galilee.

Day 8 Day 8 – Sunday, March 24

Explore the Valley of the Doves (reflection on the history of Mount Arbel), Magdala (Ruins of the synagogue from Jesus’ time), the Ancient Galilee Boat Museum, Mount of Beatitudes. Dinner and overnight in Galilee.

Day 9 Day 9 – Monday, March 25

Visit Tabgha (reflection on the risen Jesus to the disciples) and Capernaum (hometown of Jesus). Visit a Moshav Agricultural Farm and climb to the top of Mount Arbel (reflect on the Galilaean ministry of Jesus). Overnight in Galilee.

Day 10 Day 10 – Tuesday, March 26

Enjoy a free morning. Later, have a Jordan River baptism, a teaching on the shore of the Galilee and a boat ride on the sea (reflection on the nature miracles of Jesus). Have dinner and overnight at your Galilee hotel.

Day 11 Day 11 – Wednesday, March 27

Travel to Nazareth. See a Greek Orthodox Church (Mary’s Well), synagogue in Nazareth, Church of Annunciation, Mount Precipice, Valley of Armageddon, and Caesarea. Arrive at the Tel Aviv airport for departure.

Day 12 Day 12 – Thursday, March 28

Return to the USA or enjoy the extension tour to Jordan.

March 28 – Jerash
This morning, you will journey across the Allenby Bridge on your way to Jerash, one of the best-preserved Roman cities in the world. Stroll through the oval piazza and wander along colonnaded streets etched by the wheels of ancient chariots. Stand in the grand theatre where an onstage whisper can be heard in the top row. Continue to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

March 29 – Petra
Begin your journey south towards Petra today. Explore the city of Petra. Its entrance passes through a long, narrow gorge known as the Siq and can only be accessed by carriage, horseback, or on foot. Once inside the city, marvel at the intricate detail of a city that was cut into the cliffsides of rose-colored rock. Travel to your hotel at the Dead Sea for dinner and overnight.

March 30 – Madaba & Mount Nebo
Travel to Madaba, the City of Mosaics, to visit the Church of Saint George with its sixth-century, Byzantine, mosaic map showing Jerusalem and other holy sites. Continue to Mount Nebo, where Moses caught a glimpse of the Promised Land (Deut. 34). On a clear day, you can see all the way across the Jordan Valley and the Dead Sea to the rooftops of Jerusalem and Bethlehem. Return to your hotel for dinner and overnight.

March 31 – Free Morning at the Dead Sea
Enjoy a free morning at your hotel. Cross the border back into Israel and enjoy dinner in Jerusalem. Afterward, you will travel to the airport in Tel Aviv to begin your journey back home.

April 1 – Return to the USA
