Come walk with us on a Camino Walk, “Camino de Santiago,” beginning September 13, 2027, starting at $4,748 from New York. You will walk and see Madrid, Burgos, Leon, Sarria, Portomarin, Palas de Rei, Arzúa, O Perdrouzo, Santiago, Port of Muros, Ézaro Waterfall, Finisterre, and much more.

Please note that this tour requires strenuous walking, with some sections of the tour at a 45-degree angle incline or decline. The paths interchange with pavement, uneven stone, dirt (mud), and traffic crossings. There are sections of the tour with no immediate access to emergency care. By registering for this tour, you agree to travel at your own responsibility and that you are healthy enough to walk the prescribed distances each day.

Daily Itinerary

Day 1 September 13 – Depart the USA

Depart to the USA

Day 2 September 14 – Arrive in Madrid/Burgos walking tour

Your guide will greet you at the airport. Travel to Burgos, where you can enjoy lunch on your own before embarking on a guided city tour. Discover the historic Arco de Santa María, a beautifully decorated gateway built to honor Charles V, and explore the magnificent Gothic Cathedral of Burgos, a key pilgrimage site on the Camino de Santiago. Dinner and overnight will be in Burgos. (D)

Day 3 September 15 – Leon walking tour- overnight in Lugo

This morning, enjoy a city tour of Leon after breakfast. Visit the Basilica of San Isidoro, where the Kings of Leon are buried, as well as the Church of San Salvador de Palat del Rey, a former royal chapel. After lunch, we will travel to Lugo for dinner and an overnight stay. (B, D)

Day 4 September 16 – Sarria to Portomarín (21.5 km) - overnight in Lugo

Begin your pilgrimage on foot at Sarria after breakfast, and then return to your hotel in Lugo after your day of walking for dinner. (B, D)

Day 5 September 17 – Portomarín to Palas de Rei (25 km)- overnight in lugo

Depart to Portomarín to continue your pilgrimage on foot from Portomarín to Palas de Rei, walking through charming villages and scenic countryside. At the end of the day, head back to the hotel in Lugo for dinner and a restful overnight stay. (B, D)

Day 6 September 18 – Palas de Rei to Arzúa (28.5 km) - overnight in Lugo

After breakfast, continue your walking pilgrimage from Palas de Rei toward Arzúa, covering around 28.5 km through rolling countryside and small villages. At the end of your journey, check into your Lugo hotel and enjoy dinner before resting for the night. (B , D)

Day 7 September 19 – Arzúa to O Perdrouzo (19 km) - overnight in Santiago

After breakfast, transfer to Arzúa to continue your walking pilgrimage from the town of Arzúa along peaceful forest paths and meadows until you reach O Pedrouzo. Once there, transfer to your hotel where you’ll have dinner and spend the night. Accommodations are in Santiago de Compostela. (B, D)

Day 8 September 20 – O Pedrouzo to Santiago (20 km) - overnight in Santiago

After breakfast, transfer to O Pedrouzo and set out on your final leg from O Pedrouzo toward Santiago de Compostela. Walk through peaceful forest paths and small towns until you reach the arrival point at the Cathedral. You’ll then return to your hotel and enjoy dinner in the evening at a Local restaurant. Accommodations will be in Santiago de Compostela. (B, D)

Day 9 September 21 – Port of Muros, Ézaro Waterfall, Finisterre – overnight in Santiago

Today you’ll journey by bus to the port of Muros, and then walk to the Ézaro Waterfall. Enjoy lunch in Finisterre, before walking out to the lighthouse at “the end of the world”. Finish your day on the “Coast of Death” at the Virxe da Barca Sanctuary, which has survived a 2013 lightning strike and subsequent flooding from the Atlantic. Return to your hotel in Santiago for dinner and an overnight stay.(B, D)

Day 10 September 22 – Madrid - overnight in Madrdid

This morning, transfer to Santiago airport, take a flight to Madrid, and embark on a driving tour around the city. In the afternoon, enjoy some free time to explore Madrid at your own pace. Dinner at the hotel. Accommodations are in Madrid. (B, D)

Day 11 September 23 – Return to the USA
