Cancel For Any Reason
Cancel for Any Reason* is an additional benefit provided (no additional charge) with the purchase of the Travel Protection Plan. In the past, those who canceled for a non-insurable reason were penalized in many cases for the entire price of the tour. With this additional benefit, you are afforded the opportunity to recoup a portion of your penalties when you cancel for any reason (other than a covered insurable reason). This added benefit provides coverage against non-insurable claims with the exclusion of any non-refundable items (i.e. airline tickets and penalties). When submitting your claim to the Insurance company, it will be determined if your claim is insurable. If it is not, you will receive a pre-departure cancellation waiver (travel voucher) equivalent to the uninsured claim less non-refundable items. This waiver can be used within 12 months of the date issued and no later than 15 months from the date you canceled your trip on any future tour** offered by EOT. Cancel For Any Reason Waiver
When you purchase this travel protection plan by or before the final payment due date for your Trip, you also receive the Educational Opportunities Tours Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver Benefit that allows you to cancel your Educational Opportunities Tours travel arrangements up to the day of departure FOR ANY REASON (excludes no shows and those not permitted boarding). With this Educational Opportunities Tours Cancellation Waiver, your non-refundable land cancellation penalties will be refunded in Educational Opportunities Tours travel certificates, with the balance of the refund made in cash or credit card credit if applicable. Any benefit payable under this Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver will be reduced by the amount of any cancellation benefits paid or payable by the Educational Opportunities Tours Travel Protection Plan or any other insurance plan providing Trip Cancellation benefits. Important: This travel protection plan may not be purchased after you have made your final payment for your Trip. Please Note: This Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver applies only if the Travel Protection Plan is purchased by or before final payment due date and does not cover penalties associated with nonrefundable airline tickets. Certain travel programs are not eligible for coverage under the Educational Opportunities Tours Pre-Departure Cancellation Waiver Benefit such as cruise and land programs listed and detailed on the Educational Opportunities Tours website.
