Daily Itinerary

Day 1 September 30 – DEPART USA

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on your international overnight flight.

Day 2 October 1 – ARRIVE IN ROME

You will arrive in Rome, Italy where you will be met by our representative and transferred to the Port of Civitavecchia to board the Odyssey of the Seas.

Day 3 October 2 – AT SEA

Enjoy the ship!

Dock today in Crete’s port of Iraklion, just three miles away from the fantastic ruins of the Palace of Knossos. After exploring the Palace you will see the Venetian Loggia, the harmonious Morozini Fountain, and the 10th century Church of St. Titus. Enjoy free time to shop and eat before returning to the ship.

Day 5 October 4 – ATHENS, GREECE

Travel to the legendary city of Athens for an awe-inspiring immersion into Greek history, mythology and might from the cruise port of Pireaus. Upon arrival, you’ll begin a narrated sightseeing drive that winds past the ruins of the Temple of Olympian Zeus and the Panathenaic Stadium, an ancient wonder reborn as the site of the first modern Olympics in 1896. Your drive will lead to the most iconic ancient site in Greece – the Acropolis. Climb the steep steps leading to this complex of temples and buildings dating back to the 5th century BC and built as a grand monument to thought and the arts. Witness the Temple of Athena Nike and explore the iconic Parthenon, dedicated to the Goddess Athena and offering sweeping panoramas overlooking the city below. A short walk from the ruins leads to Mars Hill where Paul preached to the Athenians.

Journey to the ancient city of Corinth, where the apostle Paul met fellow tentmakers Aquila and Priscilla and received a vision from the Lord. As Paul spoke, Crispus (chief ruler of the synagogue) and many others believed and were baptized, establishing the church at Corinth to whom Paul later wrote his two epistles. Discover the Archaeological Museum, Market Place and Temples. As you walk among the ruins, stand on the Bema, where the apostle Paul stood before Gallio to face charges brought against him by the Jews. Stop briefly at the port town of Cenchreae from which Paul later departed for Syria (Acts 18: 12-18) before returning to your ship.

Day 7 October 6 – MYKONOS, GREECE

Arrive today at the world-famous Greek Island of Mykonos, where gleaming white-washed buildings seem to climb atop each other to reach the azure sky. Admire its many hills dotted with iconic windmills. Explore the island on your own or join one of the optional excursions available for purchase onboard.

Shore excursions today will be booked directly through Royal Caribbean

Day 8 October 7 – SANTORINI, GREECE

Dock in Santorini today, one of the most beautiful of the Greek islands where picturesque whitewashed villages topped with brilliant blue domes stand in stark contrast to the sheer drop cliffs overlooking the Aegean Sea. The island itself perches on the edges of a volcano whose eruption 3,500 years ago is thought to have led to the collapse of the Minoan civilization. Explore the island on your own or join one of the optional excursions available for purchase onboard.

Shore excursions today will be booked directly through Royal Caribbean

Day 9 October 8 - AT SEA

Day 10 October 9 – NAPLES, ITALY

Disembark the ship in Naples and travel towards Mt. Vesuivius to uncover the fascinating history of Pompeii. Embark on a guided walking tour of the ancient Roman city’s archeological ruins below formidable Mount Vesuvius. Traverse the historic excavation site with an informative guide, through the city’s forum and past grand temples, mansions, and Roman baths. View artifacts recovered from the 79 AD volcanic blast, when 20 feet of ash and pumice buried the entire city, and behold a menacing panoramic view of Mount Vesuvius.

Day 11 October 10 – ROME, ITALY

Disembark the ship and travel to Rome. Upon arrival discover the history woven throughout Rome with visits to the Colosseum, the Pantheon, the Forum, Circus Maximus, the Arch of Titus, the Baths of Carcalla and the Arch of Constantine today.
