Daily Itinerary

Day 1 Tuesday , May 10 – USA to the Holy Land

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on an overnight flight.

Day 2 Tuesday, May 11 – USA to the Holy Land

You will be welcomed at the Tel Aviv airport by our representative and transferred to your hotel in Netanya to enjoy dinner before retiring for the night.

Day 3 Thursday, May 12 – Cana, Nazareth, Samaria and Jacob’s Well

In modern day Nablus (ancient Shechem), see where the Samaritan woman encountered Christ (John 4) at Jacob’s Well. See Mount Ebal and Mount Gerizim, where the Israelites recited the blessings and curses of the Law. Visit Samaria, the capital of the Northern Kingdom and home to Ahab and Jezebel. Continue past Tel Dothan, thought to be the place where Joseph found his brothers with their flocks (Genesis 37). Visit Cana, the site of Christ’s first miracle (John 2). End your day with a stop in Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Matthew 2:23). Overnight in your Tiberias Hotel.

Day 4 Friday, May 13 – The Sea of Galilee

Begin your day watching the sunrise on the Sea of Galilee from Mount Arbel. Visit Magdala, once home to Mary Magdalene (Luke 8:1-3). See the recently discovered first-century synagogue. Enjoy lunch before crossing the waters of the Sea of Galilee on a very special boat ride, complete with an onboard worship service. Visit Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry in the Galilee, and visit the synagogue built on the site where Jesus taught (Matt. 4:13, 23). On the Mount of Beatitudes, contemplate the text of the Sermon on the Mount (Matt. 5-7). Explore the Church of the Loaves and Fish at Tabgha, traditional site of the feeding of the 5,000 (Luke 9:10-17). End your day with an opportunity for baptism in the waters of the Jordan River (Matt. 3). Return to your Tiberias hotel for overnight.

Day 5 Saturday, May 14 – Qumran, Masada & Ein Gedi

Stop in Qumran, where the Dead Sea Scrolls were discovered in 1947 by a Bedouin shepherd. Enjoy a visit to Masada, the spectacular mountaintop fortress built by Herod and the final tragic stronghold of the Jewish rebellion against the Romans. Ride the cable car to the top and look down upon the remains of the Roman camps. Journey to the oasis of Ein Gedi, where David and his men sought refuge from Saul (1 Sam. 23). Overnight at your hotel on the shore the Dead Sea, the lowest spot on earth.

Day 6 Sunday, May 15 – Dead Sea & Jerusalem

This morning, take some free time to enjoy your Dead Sea Hotel. Continue to Jerusalem and ascend the Mount of Olives for your first view of Jerusalem (the Golden City). Jesus stood here before ascending into heaven forty days after His resurrection (Acts 1:9- 12). End your day with a visit to the the Garden of Gethsemane for a special time of prayer (Matt. 26:36). Check into your Jerusalem hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 7 Monday, May 16 – Bethlehem

This morning, visit Bethlehem. Gaze out over Shepherds’ Field and visit the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplace (Matt. 1:18-25, Luke 2:1- 7). Visit the Church of the Nativity built above the cave and considered the world’s oldest functioning church. Return to Jerusalem and enjoy an afternoon free to explore on your own. Dinner and overnight in Jerusalem.

Day 8 Tuesday, May 17 – Jerusalem & Bedouin Dinner

Visit the Western Wall and tour the Western Wall Tunnels (if available). Walk the Temple Mount (conditions permitting), once the site of the Temple of Solomon (II Chronicles 3). See where Jesus healed on the Sabbath at the Pool of Bethesda (John 5: 1-31). Sing a hymn in the Church of St. Anne. Walk the Via Dolorosa (“the Way of the Cross”) to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre (John 19), built over the traditional sites of the crucifixion and burial of Jesus. At the Garden Tomb, share communion together and experience the reality of the Resurrection (John 20). Tonight, enjoy a special dinner in a Bedouin Tent in Genesis Land.

Day 9 Wednesday, May 18 – Return to the USA or Continue on your Extension

Your morning is free to stroll the streets of Jerusalem. Tonight, transfer to the airport for your flight home or continue on your Egypt extension.

Day 10 Thursday, May 19 – Arrive Home for Those not on an Extension

Arrive home with new friendships made and memories to last a lifetime!

May 19 – Jerusalem to Egypt
Caravan Route from Jerusalem through the Sinai. Transfer to hotel for overnight.
May 20 – St. Catherine’s Monastery
View Mt. Sinai and St. Catherine’s Monastery. Stay in Sharm el Sheikh overnight.
May 21 – Route of the Exodus
Trace the route of the Exodus along the eastern Sinai coast to Wadi Feiran, Elim & Marah by the Red Sea. Continue to Cairo for dinner and overnight.
May 22 – Memphis, Saqqara, the Great Pyramids & the Sphinx
See Joseph’s River and Lake. Tour the rural region of traditional Egyptian farming and stop at an old corn water mill. Visit Memphis (Biblical Noph) and Saqqara. See the Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx. Stay in Cairo for dinner and overnight.
May 23 - Cairo
Today, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities and tour the Old City. See the Citadel of Saladin and view the Alabaster Mosque of Mohammed Ali. In Old Cairo, visit the Abu Serge Church. Prepare for your return flight home.

May 24 - Return to USA

May 19 – Jerusalem to Mount Sinai Travel in the footsteps of the Holy family as you travel along the ancient caravan route from Jerusalem to the Sinai desert. Cross the border and check into your hotel near Mt. Sinai for dinner and rest.
May 20 – St. Catherine’s Monastery
Today, you’ll climb Mt. Sinai and visit St. Catherine’s Monastery. Continue to Sharm el Sheik for dinner and overnight by the Red Sea.
May 21 – Luxor & Karnak
Visit the Temple of Luxor, the Karnak Temple and the Obelisks of Queen Hatshepsut and Thutmose III.

May 22 – Valleys of the Kings & Queens & Esna
Explore the Valley of the Kings, the Colossi of Memnon and the Temple of Queen Hatshepsut. Then, sail to Esna, where you will see the Temple of Khnum. Dinner and overnight on board.
May 23 - Edfu & Kom Ombo
Today, you’ll visit the Edfu Temple and enjoy lunch as you sail to Kom Ombo to visit the Kom Ombo Temple.
May 24 - Aswan
See the Temples at Philae, including the Temple of Isis. Also, see the High Dam at Aswan and the Unfinished Obelisk.
May 25 - Cairo
Today, visit the Egyptian Museum of Antiquities, the Pyramids of Giza, the Great Sphinx, the Citadel of Saladin, and tour the Old City. View the Alabaster Mosque of Muhammad Ali and the Abu Serga Church.

May 26 - Return to USA
