Daily Itinerary

Day 1 Depart USA

Your pilgrimage begins as you depart the USA on an overnight flight.

Day 2 Arrive Holy Land

You will be welcomed to the Holy Land by our airport representative and transferred to your Galilee hotel.

Day 3 Cana & Nazareth

Visit Caesarea Philippi, where Peter told the Lord, “You are the Christ!” (Matt. 16). Visit the Franciscan Wedding Chapel in Cana, site of Jesus’ first miracle, before continuing on to Nazareth, Jesus’ boyhood home (Matthew 2:23).

Day 4 Galilee (Day 1)

Sail across the Sea of Galilee and experience a special onboard worship service. Visit Kibbutz Nof Ginosar and learn about the “Ancient Boat”, a rare and excellent example of the kind of boat in which Jesus would have sailed. In Magdala, once home to Mary Magdalene, visit a recently discovered first-century synagogue. Enjoy beautiful Capernaum, the center of Jesus’ ministry, and visit the synagogue located on the site where Jesus taught (Matthew 4:13, 23). Pass through the Valley of the Doves, a major pathway in the time of Christ. He and his disciples passed through this valley as they walked the Galilee.

Day 5 Galilee (Day 2)

On the Mount of Beatitudes, contemplate the “Sermon on the Mount” (Matt. 5-7). Visit the Church of the Fish and the Loaves in Tabgha, the traditional location of the feeding of the 5,000 (Luke 9:10-17). As you pray in the Chapel of the Primacy, remember how Peter professed his devotion to the risen Christ three times (John 21).

Day 6 Samaria

In modern day Nablus (ancient Shechem), see where the Samaritan woman encountered Christ (John 4) at Jacob's Well. Visit the baptismal site of Qasr el Yehud, where tradition says Jesus was baptized by John the Baptist. In the distance, you can see the traditional site of the Temptation of Jesus (Matt. 4:1-11). Look out over the Valley of the Shadow toward St. George's monastery (Psalms 23). Visit the Inn of the Good Samaritan where Jesus traveled the nearby Roman road, the setting of His parable of the Good Samaritan (Luke 10:30-36).

Day 7 Bethlehem

In Bethlehem, visit the cave revered as Jesus’ birthplace and see the Church of the Nativity constructed over the site (Matthew 1: 18-25). Gaze out over the Shepherds’ Field, where angels first proclaimed the Good News. Spend time to shop at the Nissan Bros Olive Wood shop. You will visit the village of Lazarus and Martha, Bethany, to view the Tomb of Lazarus.

Day 8 Jerusalem (Day 1)

Be inspired by the breathtaking beauty of Jerusalem (“the Golden City”) as you stand on the Mount of Olives, the place from which Jesus ascended into heaven forty days after His resurrection (Acts 1:9-12). Walk to the Garden of Gethsemane and pray beneath the ancient olive trees (Matthew 26:36-44). On Mount Zion, see the House of the High Priest Caiaphas, where Jesus was imprisoned the night of His arrest (Matthew 26:57-65). Nearby is the Upper Room revered as the location of the Last Supper (Mark 14:12-26). Understand better the Jerusalem of Jesus’ day with a look at the First Century Model of the City of Jerusalem, now housed at the Israel Museum. The museum itself houses 10,000 years of archeological artifacts. Also visit the Shrine of the Book, where the Book of Isaiah, discovered among the Dead Sea Scrolls, is displayed.

Day 9 Jerusalem (Day 2)

Explore the Davidson Center and the Southern Wall Excavations, including the Teaching Steps and the Western Wall. Walk the Via Dolorosa, “the Way of the Cross,” and stand in reverence at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Remember the Lord’s sacrificial love at the Church of the Holy Sepulchre. Visit the Garden Tomb for a time of reflection and communion.

Day 10 Day on own or optional tour

Today, enjoy time to explore on your own or partake in an optional tour (additional $) A) Masada Dead Sea Day ($75 additional) B) Yad Vashem Holocaust Museum / Arab Souk shopping in the Old City ($60 additional)
