    The Luminosa docks in Cadiz. Cadiz sits on a long narrow peninsula in the southwest corner of Spain, surrounded on three sides by the Atlantic Ocean. Founded in 1100 BC, it’s believed to be the oldest continuously inhabited city in the western world. Christopher Columbus started two of his major voyages from here and secured a glittering future for the port which was to become the major trading center with the Americas. from Cadiz enjoy an optional trip to Seville (additional cost), the one city in Spain that “no one should miss!” You’ll see Spain’s largest Cathedral, the Tower of Gold, Santa Cruz and much more. The city of Don Juan and famous operas is sure to delight!

    Lisbon’s most revered son was Prince Henry the Navigator, who sent intrepid explorers out to conquer the world. After a terrible earthquake in 1755, Lisbon was rebuilt along the tracius, baroque lines you see today in the Baixa District. The proud capital of what was once a great empire recalls centuries of past glories. (Enjoy an optional shore excursion to see the Portuguese capital.)

    The Luminosa docks in Valencia, Spain’s third-largest city, which is famous for its magnificent orange groves, the beauty of its long beaches, and the flavor of its paella (a rice dish with chicken or seafood). Enjoy an optional shore excursion (additional charge). In Valencia’s center you will find a medieval cathedral with an octagonal bell tower, El Miguelete, impressive city gates, and other monuments. The people of Valencia are as warm as the sun and the city is known for its love of festivals.

    The Luminosa docks in Barcelona. Barcelona is one of Spain’s most exciting, flamboyant and sophisticated cities. Explore the Barrio Gotico (old quarter), a 14th-century maze of tiny houses, stately palaces and intriguing shops. Listen to the musical murmur of Catalan voices and watch dancers sway to the Sandana in a lively Ramblas cafe. See Gaudi’s architectural fantasies curving over Modernisme facades in the Eixample, the Columbus Monument and the soaring spires of the Sagrada Familia. Those participating in the Madrid Post-Tour will disembark the ship today.

    Disembark the Luminosa in Savona, French Riviera. Travel to the principality of Monaco to discover Monte-Carlo, the playground of the rich and famous. See the changing of the guards at the Royal Palace. Return to the Milan area for overnight.

  12. 27-Oct - Return Home or Begin Post Tour

    After an early breakfast, you will be transferred to the airport for your international flight.
