Day 1 July 3 - ANCHORAGE

From the airport, your transfer brings you to the hotel where your Adventure Specialist welcomes you to Alaska. Then, Anchorage is yours to discover. With lively nightlife, an eclectic dining scene and miles of urban trails, there’s much to explore on a sunny summer night. Overnight at the Anchorage Marriott.

Day 2 July 4 - ANCHORAGE / TALKEETNA

The day begins with the scenic rail journey riding the the glass-domed cars of the Wilderness Express to Talkeetna, the funkiest small town in Alaska. From 11:00 a.m., the day is free for your style of adventure. Talk to your Adventure Specialist about personalized outdoor options such as zip-lining and flightseeing. Close to your lodge, Talkeetna’s historic main street is home to lively brew pubs, roadhouse restaurants, cozy cafes and unique shops. Overnight at the Talkeetna Alaskan Lodge.

Day 3 July 5 - TALKEETNA / DENALI

There’s time to enjoy more of the Talkeetna’s stunning natural setting before your deluxe motor coach departs for Denali. From 4:00 p.m., Denali is yours to discover. Walk the trails of your lodge’s 20-acre property, or choose an optional activity, like visiting the Husky Homestead or river rafting. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Day 4 July 6 - DENALI

Venture deep in the park today, scouting for native wildlife on the Denali Natural History Tour. After the tour, your time is your own. Check out the exhibits at the museum-like visitor center, or stroll the nearby walking trails. Overnight at Denali Park Village.

Day 5 July 7 - DENALI / ANCHORAGE / ALYESKA (GIRDWOOD)

Get a taste of the big city during a midday stop in downtown before continuing onto Alyeska. Admire the waters of the Turnagain Arm as you enter the Chugach Valley on your way to Hotel Alyeska. From 4:00 p.m., this scenic resort area is yours to enjoy. Take a stroll along the forest trail, or indulge in the resort’s amenities. Overnight at Hotel Alyeska.

Day 6 July 8 - ALYESKA (GIRDWOOD) / SEWARD / CRUISE

8:00 PM Departure

Admire the glacier-formed landscapes on the drive to Seward where you’ll discover the state’s rich variety of marine species at the Alaska Sealife Center. Your Adventure Specialist wishes you a bon voyage at the pier where you’ll board your ship. Sandwiched between towering Mount Marathon and glistening Resurrection Bay, the small town of Seward is surrounded by breathtaking scenery and action-packed adventure. Downtown’s Main Street houses a cluster of historic buildings decked out in colorful murals— and its Kenai Peninsula backyard serves as a spectacular outdoor playground.

Day 7 July 9 - HUBBARD GLACIER (Scenic Cruising)

2:00 PM Arrival / 5:00 PM Departure

Experience the daunting power of the largest tidewater glacier in North America. While most glaciers tend to thin and retreat, Hubbard Glacier continues to thicken and actively advance toward the Gulf of Alaska, earning the nickname “Galloping Glacier”. Sailing into Disenchantment Bay near the glacier’s 400-foot-tall face, you’ll get panoramic views of its gigantic expanse. Hubbard is a monstrous 76 miles long and 1,200 feet deep.

Day 8 July 10 - JUNEAU

9:00 AM Arrival / 9:00 PM Departure

You can’t get to Juneau easily without a sprint by air or by sea. But once you arrive you’ll find majestic views and rich culture in every corner. With its snowcapped mountains, misty rainforests, massive glaciers and bounty of wildlife, Alaska’s remote state capital is the perfect place to dive into nature. Framed by Mount Juneau and Mount Roberts, the city’s picturesque downtown area offers centuries-old bars, boutique shops and historic landmarks. For a taste of the local culture, visit the historic district and the Alaska State Museum. And for outdoor thrills, you can take your pick of activities ranging from whale watching in Auke Bay Harbor to tundra trekking over Mendenhall Glacier. You can even try your hand at gold panning in Last Chance Basin.

Day 9 July 11 - SKAGWAY

7:00 AM Arrival / 5:00 PM Departure

The tiny town of Skagway still looks like it did during the Klondike Gold Rush over 100 years ago. Today it remains an outpost for thrilling Alaskan adventure. An old-time street car ride along bustling Broadway Street reveals well-preserved buildings, including the state’s oldest hotel. You can see engraved walrus tusks at the Corrington Museum, or get lost in riveting historical reenactments around town. If outdoor adventure is more your thing, there are plenty of ways to amp up the adrenaline, from sledding with Alaskan Huskies on Laughton Glacier to rafting Lynn Canal, the longest fjord in North America.

Day 10 HAINES

7:00 PM Arrival / 11:30 PM Departure

If you’re looking for an authentic taste of wild, rugged adventure, a cruise to Haines, Alaska is just the ticket. Located less than 70 miles north of Juneau, along the continent’s longest and deepest fjord, Haines offers endless outdoor activities for intrepid explorers. Hike deep into misty coastal rainforests and ancient spruce woodlands. Set out on a rafting adventure along the rivers that thread the Chilkat Bald Eagle Preserve. Learn about the gold rush era at Fort William H. Seward. And discover the area’s rich cultural heritage at museums dedicated to the Native Tlingit People.

Day 11 July 12 - ICY STRAIGHT POINT

6:30 AM Arrival / 3:00 PM Departure

Icy Strait Point is one tiny port that’s big on Alaskan wilderness and Native culture. Opened a decade ago by the Huna Tlingit Native Alaskans, it’s easily one of the best spots in the region for fishing and whale watching. Dive into Native Alaska culture at a tribal dance show or pay a visit to Hoonah, Alaska’s largest Tlingit village. If you want to venture over to the wild side, go on a guided nature hike through nearby rainforests or hop into an ATV and explore the backroads of Chichagof Island. At the end of the day, you can take in forest views while soaring high above the trees on the longest zip line in the world. No matter what kind of Alaska adventure you’re craving, you’ll find it in Icy Strait Point.

Day 12 July 13 - KETCHIKAN

9:00 AM Arrival / 6:00 PM Departure

Ketchikan sits at the southern end of Alaska’s Inside Passage, a gateway to the wild landscapes and seascapes of Misty Fjords National Monument. The canned salmon capital of the world, it’s a hub for fishing and outdoor sports. It’s also home to three tribes of Northwest Coast Indians, making it a great place to get a taste for the local culture. You’ll see it in the colorful, hand-carved totems that line the city’s streets and parks, and in the unique stilted homes that cling to Deer Mountain’s slopes. If you want to get up close and personal with nature, venture into the Tongass National Forest, the largest in the United States. Or head to Ketchikan Creek Waterfall for amazing views of downtown Ketchikan and a glimpse at the yearly salmon runs.

Day 13 July 14 - INSIDE PASSAGE

Your ship offers the perfect platform for viewing British Columbia’s Inside Passage. This archipelago spans 25,000 miles from Seattle to Prince Rupert near the Alaskan border. Here you’ll ply calm waters sheltered between the British Columbia mainland and Vancouver Island. Along the way catch a glimpse of breathtakingly rugged scenery, plus staggering wildlife like salmon sharks, white spirit bears, and millions of seabirds.

Day 14 July 15 - VANCOUVER

7:00 AM Arrival

Disembark in Vancouver this morning and begin your journey home. Alive with the hum of high-energy adventure, Vancouver is a sophisticated cityscape on the edge of British Columbia’s wild interior. This multicultural city offers a bit of everything: big city buzz, sky-high mountains and Pacific beaches. If you’re a history buff you can view First Nations artifacts at the Museum of Anthropology. Take little ones to meet over 50,000 aquatic creatures at the Vancouver Aquarium, or get a bird’s eye view of old-growth forest at Capilano Suspension Bridge Park. From the bay to the backwoods, discover loads of outdoor adventure in Vancouver, such as Horseshoe Bay salmon fishing, Granville Island paddle boarding and Grouse Mountain’s aerial tram.
