Day 1 DEPART USA
Today we depart Miami for our flight to Tel Aviv. Appropriate meals will be served in flight.
Day 2 ARRIVE IN TEL AVIV
Today we will arrive at Tel Aviv’s Ben Gurion Airport, where we are met by our guide and transfer to our hotel, Eshel HaShomron for dinner and overnight
Day 3 ALON MOREH, MOUNT GERIZIM OVERLOOKING SHECHEM, BIBLICAL GARDEN AT ESHEL HASHOMRON, SHILOH
Today we will enjoy a city tour of Ariel and a visit to Tel Shiloh. We will visit Alon Moreh. Elon Moreh represents the pioneering spirit of rebuilding the Land of Israel after 2000 years of exile. The community overlooks the city of Shechem and continues the tradition of the importance of the area to Am Yisrael. It was here that God first promised Abraham our father, “To your descendants will I give this Land.” We will enjoy a visit to the gardens of Eshel HaShomron. The Garden of Biblical Samaria in Eshel Hashomron was established in 2001 by the Ephraim Roots Foundation, in response to growing ignorance and a lack of knowledge about the true roots of Israel. Enjoy dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Day 4 CAESEREA MARITIME, MUCHRAQAH, ROSH HANIKRA, TZFAT
We will begin your journey to Caesarea by the Sea. This port city reveals many extensive remains of the theater and other sites, including a Roman aqueduct along the Mediterranean shore. Visit the Atlit Refugee Camp, where Jews were detained fleeing from persecution during WWII. Travel to the southern slopes of Mt Carmel to visit Muchraqah. Both tradition and key geographical details point to this site as the biblical site where Elijah fought the prophets of Baal. See the chalk cliffs of the Rosh Hanikra Grottoes. This has been a passageway for millennia for trade and caravans and armies. Visit Tzfat, one of the sacred Jewish cities now an artist's colony. It is possibly "the city on a hill" that Messiah mentioned. Continue to Tiberias for dinner and overnight. Day 5, May 29st BOAT RIDE ON THE SEA OF GALILEE, MT OF BEATITUDES, CAPERNAUM, MAGDALA Today we will enjoy a morning boat ride on the Sea of Galilee. We will visit Tabgha, the Mt. Beatitudes and the excavations at Capernaum. Traveling south we will visit the new excavations at Magdala before returning to our hotel.
Day 5 TEL DAN, CAESAREA PHILLIPI (BANIAS), GOLAN HEIGHTS, MT BENTAL
We will drive north today and explore the excavations of Tel Dan and Caesarea Philippi. We will continue on with a visit to the Golan Heights including Mt. Bental. We will enjoy dinner and overnight at our hotel.
Day 6 BEIT SHEAN, JORDAN RIVER VALLEY to QUMRAN
We will visit the extensive excavations of the Roman City, Beit Shean. It was here that the Philistines hung the bodies of Saul and Jonathan. We will journey through the Jordan Valley to Qumran, where we will see the caves of the Dead Sea Scrolls. We will enjoy a video presentation and a visit to the excavations. End your day with a visit to Qasr el Yehud where Yeshua began his ministry by being immersed by John. We will check in to our hotel in the Dead Sea area this afternoon.
Day 7 MASADA, EIN GEDI
Today we will enjoy a visit to Masada, where we will take the cable car to the top for a visit to the excavations of Herod’s Winter Palace and the area where the Jewish Zealots held out against the Roman Legion, finally committing suicide rather than surrendering to the Romans. We will stop at Ein Gedi for a view of the caves where David hid from Saul. The kibbutz offers a beautiful respite in the desert. We will return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 8 TEL ARAD, ELAH VALLEY, TEL BETH SHEMESH, HAAS SHEROVER PROMENADE
Travel to Tel Arad, mentioned only four times in the Bible, yet an important city in biblical times. The most remarkable discovery in Arad is the only Israelite temple yet excavated. Its plan appears to follow that of Solomon’s temple. Next we will journey to the Valley of Elah to visit the site of David slaying Goliath. We will continue to Beth Shemesh where the Ark of the Covenant was returned to Israel after it had been captured by the Philistines. We will end our day with the view of Jerusalem from the Haas Sherover Promenade. We will check in to our hotel in the Jerusalem area.
Day 9 MODEL OF JERUSALEM, MT ZION, CITY OF DAVID, SOUTHERN STEPS, WESTERN WALL, WESTERN WALL TUNNEL
This morning we will visit the Israel Museum to see the second Temple Model of Jerusalem and the Shrine of the Book, where you can see the fragments of the Dead Sea Scrolls. Afterwards we will visit Mt. Zion and stand in the Upper Room (John 13), near the traditional site of the Last Supper (Mark 14). We will enter the Old City through the Zion Gate and visit the City of David and the ruins of the Roman City. Visit the Southern Steps of the Temple, the same steps that Messiah would have used to enter the Temple. We will conclude our day with a visit to the Western Wall to pray. Explore underground Jerusalem, when you walk through the Western Wall Tunnel. We will return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 10 VIEW OF KNESSET, YAD VASHEM, MT. HERZL MILITARY CEMETERY, FRIENDS OF ZION
View the Knesset, Israel’s Parliament. Visit Yad Vashem Holocaust Memorial and be touched by its poignant images this afternoon. We continue to MT Herzl Israel's national cemetery. We will end our day with a visit to the Friend's of Zion Heritage Center. We will return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 11 HEBRON, CARDO, JEWISH QUARTER INCLUDING THE BURNT HOUSE, HERODIAN RUINS, HURVA SYNAGOGUE, TEMPLE INSTITUE.
This morning we will explore Hebron and see the Cave of the Patriarchs. Abraham paid 400 skehels to purchase the cave as a place of burial for his wife Sarah. This afternoon we will take time to visit the Cardo, a 2,000-year-old market with modern shops among ruins that date back to the Judean Monarchy. Visit the Burnt House, the remains of a Jewish family’s home from the time of the Roman destruction of Jerusalem in 70 CE. Follow the Herodian Support Wall and walk on First Century pavement. Visit the Hurva Synagogue, a thrice rebuilt historic synagogue located in the Jewish Quarter. Proceed to the Temple Institute and learn of the ordinances and ceremonies of the Temple. We will return to our hotel for dinner and overnight.
Day 12 MT OF OLIVES, FOLLOW PART OF YESHUA'S “TRIUMPHAL ENTRY” PATH TO GARDEN OF GETHSEMANE, OLD CITY via LION’S GATE, GARDEN TOMB
Stand atop the Mount of Olives as Yeshua did and enjoy a remarkable view of the “Golden City” of Jerusalem, including the Temple Mount. Follow the “Triumphal Entry” Path to the Garden of Gethsemane where Yeshua prayed for God’s will to be done. Enter the Old City through the Lion’s Gate and walk through the Old City. Conclude at Garden Tomb, where Messiah was buried and see the empty tomb because He is arisen! Enjoy dinner at Yad Hashmona, where a Biblical garden has been planted, offering a place for visitors to see many of the native plants that are mentioned in the Bible. Transfer to the Tel Aviv airport for your flight home.
