EO is begun by a Minister in a humble garage in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. Registrations are kept in a shoe box!
1974
First EO travel program is held in Edinburgh, Scotland during summer and Holy Land during the fall
1976
EO moves to Lakeland, Florida
1983
Always an early adopter of technology, EO installs its first mainframe computer to handle the vast volumes of information efficiently
1984
Celebrates 10th Anniversary - over 25 different travel programs offered - uses first computer in overseas office during summer program
1986
Moves to current Headquarters Building in Lakeland, Florida
1999
Charters first ship for the Journeys of Paul cruise to Greece and Turkey. Program is so popular that, over the years, EO goes on to create a total of three different Pauline ship-based itineraries
2001
Mission Division starts to provide low cost airfares for church groups doing mission work
2002
Music Division starts to serve choirs and other musical groups
2004
Celebrates 30th Anniversary - over 50 different travel programs offered
2009
Celebrates 35th Anniversary - over 100 different travel programs offered
